FCC certification content
1、 FCC certification is generally divided into the following three ways:
1. ClassA self certification is applicable to products with mature technology;
2. Class B doc self certification method is applicable to general IT products and peripheral equipment;
3. Class B has been certified by TCB and obtained FCC ID number, which is suitable for wireless products with relatively difficult technology.
For detailed introduction, please refer to the article: three common certification modes of FCC certification
2、 FCC certification test content of common products
FCC only regulates electromagnetic interference. Electromagnetic interference is mainly divided into the following ways:
FCC authentication
1. Radiation emission
Propagation through space. From 30MHz to 1GHz. Most of the high-frequency interference is radiation interference. Generally, two kinds of interference can coexist at the same time.
2. Conduction emission
Conducted interference propagates through power lines, signal lines and other conductors. FCC requires the frequency to be from 150kHz to 30MHz. Most of the low-frequency interference is conducted interference. Mainly for electronic products connected to the power grid.
3. Antenna end is disturbed
Mainly for equipment with external antenna, such as TV.
The specific test content needs to be determined according to the function of the product. You can send a product manual to the environmental testing engineer to help you determine which items need to be tested!
3、 For example, which products need FCC ID?
1. Transmission frequency: 125kHz, 13.56MHz
Typical products: Gate card reader, bus card reader, wireless charger;
2. Transmission frequency: 27MHz, 49mhz
Typical products: remote control toys, wireless mouse;
3. Transmission frequency: 315MHz, 433MHz (intermittent, periodic products, remote control toys are prohibited)
Typical products: remote control switch, wireless doorbell, anti-theft equipment;
4. Transmission frequency: 88-108MHz
Typical products: Vehicle FM transmitter;
5. Transmission frequency: 902-928mhz, 2400-2483.5mhz, 5725-5850mhz
Typical products: remote control toys, wireless mouse, Bluetooth speaker, WiFi drone, smart home products;
4、 The FCC certification process is:
1. Apply for ID from FCC
2. Complete the test in a laboratory recognized by FCC
3. Prepare corresponding documents
4. Submit documents and test reports to XKS
5. TCB review report and data, no problem, issue certificate of approval
6. Mark FCC mark and ID number on the product
